- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 1/2 to 4 c. flour
- coarse salt
- 1 1/2 c. warm water (105~ to 115~)
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water in a large bowl.

2Stir in one teaspoon salt, sugar and 2 cups of the flour.

3Beat until smooth. Stir in enough remaining flour to make dough easy to handle.

4Turn dough onto lightly floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes.

5Place in greased bowl; turn greased side up.

6Cover and let rise until double, 45 to 60 minutes. (Dough is ready when indentation remains when touched.)
