- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1 1/2 c. warm water
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 4 c. flour (approximately)
- 1 beaten egg
- kosher (coarse) salt
Directions

1Mix yeast, warm water and sugar until dissolved.

2Stir in salt and flour gradually.

3Dump dough onto breadboard and knead until smooth.

4Shape into pretzels by rolling pieces of dough into long ropes and twist into pretzel shape.

5Place on oiled cookie sheets. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with kosher salt.

6Bake at 425° for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown.
