  • 1 c. Wesson oil
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. allspice
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. soda, dissolved in 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 c. cooked prunes
  • 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring

    Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk-soda mixture.
