Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. Wesson oil
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 c. dark Karo
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. nuts
  • 1 c. cooked prunes, cut fine

Directions

    Cream sugar, eggs and oil together and then set aside.

    Mix flour, soda, nutmeg, salt and cinnamon together.

    To this mixture, add the Karo, buttermilk, vanilla, nuts and prunes.

    (Cook prunes 20 minutes; drain and let cool.) Grease and flour Bundt pan.

    Bake 1 hour at 300°.

    Ice with Caramel Icing (if desired).
