  • 2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. allspice
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. Wesson oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. pitted prunes, cooked

Directions

    Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl. Mix until well blended. Add eggs and Wesson oil. Mix until thoroughly blended. Add prunes and beat thoroughly. Pour into 9-inch lightly greased tube pan. Bake in a 300° oven 1 hour or until well done. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Remove from pan and place cake on racks to cool completely.
