- 1 c. pitted prunes (note)
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. vegetable oil
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 3 eggs, beaten well
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. ground cloves
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 2 c. pecans
- 10 oz. carton of candied fruits (optional to make it a fruit cake, too)
Directions

1Sift and mix well flour, soda, salt and spices.

2Mix and add oil, buttermilk, sugar, eggs, and vanilla.

3Add pecans.

4Add candied fruits (optional).

5Bake in greased and floured Bundt pan 55 to 60 minutes at 325°.
