  • 1 c. Mazola oil
  • 2 jars Gerber prunes
  • 1 c. nuts
  • 2 c. self-rising flour
  • 1 tsp. cloves
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. allspice

    Cream together the sugar, eggs and oil.

    Add the prunes.

    Sift together the flour and the spices.

    Add this to the sugar/egg mixture.

    Add nuts.

    Grease or line a 1/2 pound cake pan.

    Start cake in cold oven, then bake at 300° for 1 1/2 hours.
