- 7 -8 slices bread (firm or stale, cut in 1-inch cubes)
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 12 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 18 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 dash salt
- 1 tablespoon melted margarine
Directions

1Whisk eggs and vanilla into milk.

2Separately, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt.

3Add milk mixture to sugar mixture.

4Combine thoroughly.

5Place bread cubes in ungreased 1 1/2 - 2-quart microwaveable bowl.

6Pour liquid over bread.

7Let mixture rest 5 minutes.

8Stir gently.

9Drizzle melted margarine over top.

10Cover loosely.

11Microwave on high approximately 10 minutes.

12Pudding is done when it pulls away from sides of bowl and knife inserted is sticky, not slippery.

13Serve warm with a little milk.
