- 1 c. canned pumpkin
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. cut-up dates
- 1 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Cream sugar and shortening together.

2Add beaten egg and pumpkin.

3Sift soda, baking powder and flour together.

4Add vanilla, dates and nuts.

5Fill muffin tins 1/2 to 2/3 full.

6Bake 20 minutes in 325° oven.
