  • 1 unbaked pie shell
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. allspice
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1 1/2 c. canned pumpkin or fresh
  • 1 2/3 c. evaporated milk
  • 2 eggs, well beaten

    Combine sugar, salt and spices.

    Add pumpkin, milk and eggs; beat until smooth.

    Pour into shell.

    Bake at 425° for about 1 hour or until silver knife inserted in the filling comes out clean.
