  • 1 1/2 c. canned pumpkin
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 c. evaporated milk
  • nutmeg
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. sugar
  • dash of salt
  • 1 (10-inch) pie shell (unbaked)

Directions

    Beat eggs and milk; add pumpkin.

    Mix sugar and cinnamon.

    Add salt and pumpkin mixture.

    Beat well with electric mixer.

    Pour into shell; dot with butter and sprinkle top lightly with nutmeg. Bake at 425° for about 30 minutes.

    A stainless knife blade carefully inserted in the center of the pie will come out clean if the pie is done.

    Serve with whipped cream.
