- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 1/4 c. white sugar
- 1 1/4 c. Crisco
- 4 eggs
- 1 (16 oz.) can pumpkin
- 3 c. sifted flour (plain)
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 3 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. allspice
- 1/2 tsp. ginger
- 2 c. chopped pecans
Directions

1In large mixing bowl, combine sugar, Crisco and eggs.

2Beat 2 minutes on medium speed.

3Add pumpkin.

4Sift together flour, salt, soda and spices.

5Gradually blend into creamed mixture; beat 2 minutes at high speed.

6Stir in nuts.

7Pour into greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.

8Bake at 350° for 60 to 65 minutes. Cool 15 minutes.

9Serve with whipped cream or Butter Rum Sauce.
