- 3 c. canned or 2 lb. cooked fresh pumpkin
- 3 c. scalded milk or chicken broth
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 1 Tbsp. sugar or 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- salt and pepper
- ginger
- cinnamon
- 1/2 c. finely julienned ham
- 3/4 c. light cream (if you have used the chicken broth)
Directions

1Place pumpkin in the milk or chicken broth.

2Knead together and add butter and flour.

3Add sugar, salt, pepper, ginger and cinnamon.

4Also add the light cream if you used the chicken broth. Heat, but do not boil!

5Serve at once.
