  • 10-inch unbaked pie shell
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 c. chopped ham, browned sausage or fried bacon
  • 1 c. Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions

    Saute onion in small amount of oil.

    Meanwhile, bake pie shell at 450° for 5 minutes.

    Sprinkle onion and meat in pie shell. Sprinkle with cheese.

    Beat eggs slightly, and add milk, salt and nutmeg.

    Stir well.

    Pour over ingredients in pie shell.

    Bake at 350° for 40 to 45 minutes or until well browned and set.
