Ingredients

  • 1 large pie crust
  • 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1/2 medium white onion, chopped
  • 1/2 c. fried bacon, crumbled
  • 1 c. grated baby Swiss cheese
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. half and half
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • white or red pepper
  • nutmeg (scant amount)
  • 1 c. cream

Directions

    Bake pie crust 3 minutes at 400°.

    Prick with fork and bake 5 more minutes. Saute onion in butter. Combine all ingredients and pour into crust.

    If not enough to fill, beat one more egg with 1/2 cup cream.

    Bake 1 hour or until set.

    Let set before cutting.
