- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/4 c. onion
- 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
- 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese (or Swiss)
- 1 c. thinly sliced or chopped ham (or 1/2 lb. bacon, fried and crumbled)
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1 c. sour cream (or cream)
- dash of pepper and nutmeg
- 1/4 c. slivered almonds (optional)
Directions

1Saute onion in butter until tender.

2In bottom of pastry shell, sprinkle cheese, ham and onion.

3Combine eggs, sour cream and seasonings and pour over ingredients in pie shell.

4May top with nuts.

5Bake at 375° for 40 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
