Ingredients

  • 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust shell
  • 2 Tbsp. finely chopped onion
  • 1 c. chopped ham or crisply fried and crumbled bacon
  • 1 1/2 c. shredded cheese (I use Cheddar; Swiss is wonderful)
  • 1/2 c. cooked, chopped broccoli (optional)
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 can milk or 2 c. light cream
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper

Directions

    Heat oven to 425° while you make your crust.

    Sprinkle onion, ham, cheese and broccoli in crust.

    Beat remaining ingredients until blended; pour over ham mixture.

    Bake 15 minutes.

    Reduce oven temperature to 300° and bake about 30 minutes or until knife inserted 1-inch from edge comes out clean.

    Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
