  • 1/2 lb. bacon, cooked and drained or ham
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • pepper
  • 1 3/4 c. cream
  • pinch of red cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 lb. shredded Swiss cheese
  • 2 oz. shredded Gruyere cheese

Directions

    Beat the eggs, salt, pepper, cream and cayenne pepper. Grate cheese on bottom of unbaked pie crust. Pour egg mixture and bacon over cheese. Bake at 400° for 35 to 45 minutes. Cool 5 to 7 minutes.
