- 1/2 lb. bacon
- 12 slices Swiss cheese
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 c. light cream
- 1 1/4 tsp. melted butter
- a few grains cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 (9-inch) pie shell
Directions

1Bake pie shell 5 to 6 minutes.

2Sprinkle bacon (which was broiled to a crisp).

3Put cheese slices to cover bottom of crust. Beat eggs, flour, salt, cayenne and nutmeg.

4Add milk and butter. Stir well and pour into crust.

5Bake 35 to 40 minutes until custard is done and top is slightly brown.
