  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 (16 oz.) jars Ortego salsa
  • 2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves
  • shredded Cheddar cheese (optional)

Directions

    In 4-quart saucepan over medium heat, cook beef, onion and garlic until beef is no longer pink, stirring occasionally to break up meat.

    Drain.

    Add beans, salsa, chili powder and oregano.

    Cover and simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve topped with cheese.
