  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 4 Tbsp. warm water
  • 4 c. self-rising flour
  • 2 c. milk
  • 3/4 c. cooking oil

Directions

    Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water.

    Mix with other ingredients.

    Cook in greased muffin tins at 375° until brown. Store unused portion of batter in refrigerator.

    The batter keeps well for two weeks and can be prepared directly from the refrigerator; however, the batter will rise better if it is allowed to rise 30 to 60 minutes before baking.
