- 1 tsp. soda
- 2 tsp. hot water
- 1 (16 oz.) pkg. light brown sugar
- 2/3 c. oleo or butter, softened
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Dissolve the soda in hot water.

2Cream sugar and butter thoroughly. Add eggs and soda mixtures, beating until smooth.

3Add flour and nuts.

4Mix well.

5Drop teaspoonfuls of dough 2-inches apart onto lightly greased baking sheet.

6Bake at 350° for 10 to 15 minutes. Yields 6 dozen.
