- 1/2 cup warm water
- 2 packages yeast
- 2/3 cup warm milk
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 4 tablespoon shortening
- 2 eggs
- 4 to 4 1/2 cups flour
Directions

1Soak yeast in warm water.

2Pour milk over sugar and salt. Add yeast stir in shortening, eggs and 2 cups flour.

3Cover.

4Let rise 15 minutes.

5Stir in rest of flour.

6Knead lightly.

7Divide dough in half.

8Roll out on flour surface into a thin circle. Spread dough with softened butter, brown sugar, nuts, raisins and cinnamon.

9Roll up and slice about 1 inch thick.

10Let rise 20 minutes in pans.

11Bake at 425°.

1215-18 minutes.

13Frost with icing made with butter, milk and powdered sugar.
