  • 1 c. self-rising flour
  • 1/4 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. shortening
  • 2 1/4 c. buttermilk

    Grease a loaf pan thoroughly; lightly dust with flour.

    Combine dry ingredients in mixing bowl.
