- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
Directions

1Sprinkle nuts in buttered 9-inch pie plate.

2In a heavy 1 1/2-quart saucepan, melt butter; add sugar.

3Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, to 290° on a candy thermometer (hard crack).

4Pour toffee over nuts.

5Sprinkle with chocolate pieces; when melted, spread with a spatula.

6Cool.

7Refrigerate to set chocolate.

8Break into pieces.

9Wrap and store in refrigerator.
