  • 1 lb. can or 2 1/2 c. fruit
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 scant c. flour
  • 1/2 c. sweet milk

Directions

    In saucepan, mix together fruit, sugar, water and butter.

    Set aside.

    Mix together remainder of ingredients in buttered baking dish.

    Pour first mixture over second.

    Bake in moderate oven at 350° until brown.
