Quick Ground Meat Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground turkey or beef
  • 8 oz. uncooked elbow macaroni
  • 1 can (10 1/2 oz.) cream of mushroom soup
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 2/3 c. ketchup
  • 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion or 2 Tbsp. minced onion
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. chopped green pepper (optional)

    Heat oven to 350°. Cook meat until brown.

    Drain fat.

    Cook macaroni as directed and drain.

    In ungreased, medium-sized casserole (2 to 3-quart) mix all ingredients.

    Cover and bake 40 minutes.

    Uncover and bake 5 minutes more.

    Makes 4 to 6 servings. Can be made ahead and refrigerated up to a day.
