  • 8 large eggs
  • 4 c. flour, sifted
  • 2 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. shortening (plain or butter flavored)

Directions

    Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy with electric mixer. Add eggs one at a time.

    Add flour gradually and mix at low speed. Grease and flour a tube pan.

    Pour mixture into pan and cook in 325° oven for 1 1/2 hours or until done.
