- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 3 c. warm water
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening
Directions

1Put yeast and sugar in water.

2Mix shortening in flour.

3Start with 5 cups flour (self-rising) and work the shortening in flour good.

4Pour in the water.

5Stir good, then add more flour to make a stiff dough.

6Put it on a floured board or counter and work 3 to 5 minutes.

7Make out rolls or loaf of bread.

8Let it rise twice its size.

9Brush top with oleo.

10Will keep in refrigerator for a week.

11Cover tight.

12Bake rolls at 425° and loaf at 350° for 30 minutes.
