  • 1 lb. ground round or chuck
  • 1/2 c. onion, diced
  • 2 c. hot water
  • 1/4 c. Heinz 57 sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. and 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 qt. canned tomatoes or 1 lb. can tomatoes, cut up
  • dash of pepper
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. uncooked elbow macaroni

Directions

    Brown beef and onions.

    Drain off excess fat.

    Stir in water and next 5 ingredients.

    Add macaroni.

    Bring mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to let it simmer.
