  • 1 (8 oz.) can whole onions, drained
  • 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed vegetable soup
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 1/2 c. diced, cooked beef
  • 1 c. prepared biscuit mix
  • 1/3 c. milk

    Brown onions in butter.

    Add soup, water and meat; bring to boil.

    Meanwhile, combine biscuit mix and milk.

    To make 8 dumplings, drop dough from spoon into simmering stew.

    Cook, uncovered, over low heat 10 minutes.

    Cover; continue cooking 10 minutes.
