- about 3 1/2 c. flour
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1 c. water
- 1 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 egg yolk, beaten
- 1 Tbsp. water
- coarse salt
Directions

1Mix 1 cup flour, salt and undissolved yeast.

2Heat 1 cup water and margarine to 120° to 130°.

3Gradually add to dry ingredients and beat 2 minutes at medium speed of mixer.

4Add 1/2 cup flour. Beat at high speed for 2 minutes.

5Stir in enough additional flour to make soft dough.

6On floured board, knead 5 minutes.

7Set in greased bowl; turn to grease top.

8Cover; let rise in warm, draft- free place 40 minutes.
