- 1 c. milk, scalded
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 cakes yeast
- 1/4 c. lukewarm water
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 5 c. sifted flour
Directions

1Pour hot milk over butter, sugar and salt.

2Crumble yeast into lukewarm water to soften.

3Cool milk to lukewarm and add yeast. Add eggs.

4Beat in flour to make soft dough.

5Turn out on floured board and knead until smooth.

6Form into balls and place in oiled bowl.

7Cover and let rise until double in bulk.

8Deep fry until golden brown.
