- 1/2 c. raisins
- 6 slices white bread
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 c. sherry
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 3 c. milk, scalded
- 4 eggs, slightly beaten
- light cream or half-and-half
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Lightly grease and flour 9x9x2-inch loaf pan.

3Soak raisins in sherry.

4Toast bread, spread with butter and cut into triangles.

5Layer bread buttered side up in baking dish.

6Sprinkle with cinnamon and raisins.

7In a separate bowl, pour milk and sugar into eggs, beating rapidly.

8Stir in remaining sherry and vanilla.

9Pour over bread.

10Bake about 40 minutes or until knife comes out clean when inserted into center. Serve warm or cold with cream or half-and half.
