  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 lb. sweet butter
  • 1 c. walnuts, chopped
  • 1 c. raisins, soaked overnight in 1 c. water and 1 tsp. baking soda

    Cream butter, sugar and eggs; beat well.

    Add raisins, liquid and vanilla.

    Beat together.

    Add flour, baking powder and walnuts alternately.

    Beat together and put into well greased pan and bake for 1 hour at 325°.
