- 2 c. raisins
- 3 c. boiling water
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- butter (size of a walnut)
- pie crust for 2-crust pie
Directions

1Combine 2 cups raisins, 3 cups boiling water and 2/3 cup sugar and boil 10 minutes.

2Add cornstarch, mixed in a little water, 1 egg, nutmeg and butter.

3Cook until mixture thickens.

4Put into unbaked pie shell and add top crust.

5Bake at 425° for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 400° and continue baking until crust is brown.
