Ingredients
- 6 slices bacon
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 c. chopped green peppers
- 1 (1 lb.) can pork and beans
- 1/2 c. barbecue sauce
- 1 to 2 Tbsp. dark molasses
- 3 Tbsp. bacon fat (grease)
Directions

1Cook bacon in skillet over medium heat until crisp.

2Remove bacon; drain and crumble.

3Pour excess fat from skillet, reserving 3 tablespoons.

4Add onions, garlic and green peppers; saute until tender.

5Combine with remaining ingredients.

6Pour in an 8 or 9-inch aluminum baking pan.

7Preheat gas grill.

8Cook with cover down, on medium heat for 30 minutes or until sauce is of desired consistency.

9Stir occasionally.

10Makes 4 to 6 servings.

11Can be cooked in oven at 350°.
