Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1/2 c. warm water
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 4 1/2 c. flour

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in warm water.

    Cool and add to the following mixture:

    oil, sugar, salt, buttermilk and flour.

    Stir and let set overnight, tightly covered in refrigerator.

    Pinch off needed amount of dough and knead on floured surface.

    Roll out and make into biscuits or pinch off and shape by hand into roll.

    Let rise about 1/2 hour.

    Bake in 400° oven for 20 minutes.

    Dough will keep in refrigerator one week, tightly sealed.
