- 1 c. shortening
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. white sugar
- 2 beaten eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. oatmeal
- 2 c. Rice Krispies
- 1 c. coconut
- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. soda
Directions

1Cream the sugars and shortening.

2Add eggs and vanilla.

3Beat until fluffy.

4Add flour which has been sifted with salt, soda and baking powder.

5Mix thoroughly and add oatmeal, Rice Krispies and coconut.

6Dough will be quite crumbly.

7Form into balls.

8Place on greased cookie sheet and press flat.

9Bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.

10Makes 5 dozen 2-inch cookies.
