  • 1/2 c. butter or oleo
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted
  • 3/4 c. flour
  • 1 c. chopped walnuts
  • 1/3 c. raspberry jam

    Beat butter at medium speed with electric mixer until soft and creamy.

    Gradually add sugar, beating well.

    Add eggs and chocolate.

    Mix well.

    Add flour and again, mix well.

    Stir in nuts.

    Spoon half of batter into greased and floured 9-inch square pan.

    Spread jam over batter.

    Top with remaining batter.

    Bake at 350° for 28 to 30 minutes.
