- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 packages walnuts chopped
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup seedless raspberry jam
- 1/2 cup chopped dates
- 1/2 cup cocoanut
Directions

1sift together flour , salt , baking soda

2cream together butter and sugar

3thoroughly beat in eggs one at a time

4stir in sifted ingredients alternately with buttermilk and jam

5fold in cocoa nut and walnuts

6pour into 2 round 8 inch greased and floured pans

7bake at 350F for 30 to 35 minutes

8fill and cover with your favorite frosting
