  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 packages walnuts chopped
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup seedless raspberry jam
  • 1/2 cup chopped dates
  • 1/2 cup cocoanut

    sift together flour , salt , baking soda

    cream together butter and sugar

    thoroughly beat in eggs one at a time

    stir in sifted ingredients alternately with buttermilk and jam

    fold in cocoa nut and walnuts

    pour into 2 round 8 inch greased and floured pans

    bake at 350F for 30 to 35 minutes

    fill and cover with your favorite frosting
