Really Good Green Beans

  • 2 cans French-cut green beans
  • 10 strips bacon
  • 6 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 6 Tbsp. sugar
  • 4 oz. slivered almonds
  • 1 medium onion

Directions

    Fry bacon and save the grease. Cut onion into rings. Add vinegar and sugar

    to the bacon grease. Layer as follows, pouring the grease/vinegar/sugar mixture over each layer: green beans, almonds, bacon (crumbled) and then onion rings. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Bake at 350°, covered, for 45 minutes.
