- 1 lb. pinto beans
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 large onion
- 1/2 bell pepper
- 3 pods garlic
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1 can stewed tomatoes
- 1 small can tomato sauce
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Bring beans to a boil for 10 to 15 minutes.

2Put lid on beans and let set for 1 hour.

3Drain water.

4Put in fresh water and cook for about 30 to 45 minutes after they come to a boil.

5Put in chopped onion, bell pepper and chili powder.

6Cook for about 30 minutes.

7Brown meat in bacon drippings.

8Pour in beans and add garlic.

9Cook on low heat until beans are done.

10Season to taste.
