- 6 c. red cabbage, shredded
- 3 Tbsp. butter or bacon drippings
- 2 Tbsp. onion, chopped
- 6 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 3 Tbsp. vinegar or white wine
- 1 Tbsp. caraway seed
Directions

1Prepare the cabbage.

2Melt the butter and saute the onion. Add brown sugar, vinegar and caraway seed.

3Add the cabbage and cook it for 25 minutes. Stir it frequently.

4Canned red cabbage may be substituted.

5Cook about 5 minutes.
