  • 2) 1 1/2 c sugar
  • 3) 1 1/2 c oil
  • 4) 1 tsp vinegar
  • 5) 2 1/2 c cake flour, sifted with 1 tsp soda
  • 6) 1 c buttermilk
  • 7) 2 - 3 Tbsp cocoa to taste
  • 8) 1 tsp vanilla
  • 9) 1/4 tsp salt
  • 10) red food coloring

    Cream together (# 1 - 4), then add a little at a time (# 5). Then add slowly (# 6). Add (# 7 - 10), mix all together well, and bake in 3, 8-inch baking pans, at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.
