  • 1 T olive oil
  • 6 c. chopped onion (3 medium)
  • 1 T sugar
  • 1/2 c. dry red wine
  • 1 T EVOO
  • 2 t. dried oregano
  • 1 t salt
  • 1/2 t. dried thyme
  • 1/2 t. dried marjoram
  • 1/2 t. dried basil
  • 1/2 t. ground pepper
  • 6 cloves crushed garlin
  • 2, 28 oz. cans crushed tomatoes
  • 2, 14.5 oz cans diced tomatoes
  • 2, 6 oz. cans tomato paste

    1) Heat oil in pot, brown onion and sugar over low, 30 min. until golden.

    2) Add wine, cook 1 min.

    3) Add all other ingredients, boil.

    4) Reduce heat, simmer 3 hours.
