Ingredients
- 3/4 c. shortening
- 1 c. scalded milk
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. cold water
- 2 cakes yeast
- 1/2 c. lukewarm water
- 7 1/2 c. sifted flour
Directions

1Combine shortening and scalded milk.

2Stir until shortening is melted.

3Combine beaten eggs, sugar and salt and beat in cold water.

4Soften yeast in lukewarm water and combine the three mixtures.

5Add the flour and knead until smooth.

6Cover tight and refrigerate overnight.

7Shape as standard rolls and let rise in warm place.

8Bake at 375°.

9Keep remainder of dough covered tight and refrigerated.

10Dough will keep 5 or so days.
