- 8 c. cabbage, shredded
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. vinegar
- 3/4 c. salad oil
- 1 tsp. mustard
- 1 tsp. celery seed
- salt to taste
Directions

1Alternate layers of cabbage, onion and sugar.

2Combine remaining ingredients; bring to a boil.

3Simmer until well blended.

4Pour boiling liquid over cabbage mixture.

5Cover and let set for about 3 hours.

6Stir.

7Let set 2 or 3 hours.

8Refrigerate. Will keep for 5 or 6 weeks if refrigerated.

9Yields 15 to 20 servings.
