Ingredients
- 1/2 c. cider vinegar
- 1/3 c. green peppers, red pepper or can of pimentos
- 1 tsp. mustard seed
- 3 stalks chopped celery
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 1/2 c. water
- 1 tsp. celery seed
- 1 qt. shredded cabbage
Directions

1Bring to boil the vinegar, 1/2 cup water, sugar, celery seed and mustard seed.

2Let get cold.

3Make a brine of 2 cups water and salt.

4Soak cabbage and pepper in brine for half hour.

5Drain off brine, pressing to remove most of brine.

6Add to vinegar mixture with celery.

7Add salt to taste.

8Stir well and store in refrigerator.

9Use as needed.

10Will keep well for 3 to 6 months.
