Ingredients

  • 4 c. sugar (2 brown and 2 white)
  • 4 c. vinegar
  • 1/3 c. pickling salt
  • 1 1/3 tsp. celery seed
  • 1 1/3 tsp. turmeric
  • 1 1/3 tsp. mustard seed

Directions

    Mix, but do not heat.

    Put in 1 gallon jar.

    Slice unpeeled cucumbers thin (about 8) and 2 medium onions.

    Fill to top of jar and place in refrigerator.

    Ready in 3 or 4 days and will keep indefinitely.
